March 8, 2025 will herald the arrival of a vitally important collection of poetry and prose dealing with violence and abuse and the stories of those who have survived and shared their personal experiences. I’m so fortunate to be included in this anthology along with several of my blogging friends. I can’t wait for March 8! I wish my mom were still around. She’d really appreciate this project and Michelle’s tireless advocacy. 😊

  4. I appreciate your honesty in sharing your experience through your poetry, Mike! Abuse and violence at home are not something easy to talk about. Through therapy, people may acknowledge and accept the reality, but it’s not something anyone can get over with. It’s great meeting you through Diana.

    1. Thanks so much, Miriam. I’m so proud of Michelle and her fearlessness and tireless advocacy on behalf of victims of abuse and violence. When she asked me to participate in this project, I jumped at the opportunity. All of these voices sharing our experiences…I hope readers find healing and liberation through them. It’s so important to know we’re not alone in our struggles. I appreciate your kindness so much. 😊

      1. You’re welcome , Mike. I had my experience with my ex (verbal). I don’t talk or write about it in respect to my daughter’s love for him (he died of brain cancer 5 years ago). We went separate ways 30 years ago.

    1. Your very kind, Annette. Thank you so much. I made up my mind as a little kid that I would never, ever be like my dad. I consider myself fortunate that I was able to make it through those terrible years and still be able to feel and care. When Michelle asked me to participate in this project, I thought of my mom and all she endured, and it was an easy decision for me. I hope others will find hope and strength by reading this collection. Michelle’s advocacy is a real life-saver. 😊
