“A Few Haiku (8)” published at Gobblers by Masticadores

Just a note to let you know the eighth installment of my short haiku/senryu collections titled “A Few Haiku (8)” is now live at Gobblers by Masticadores. These small collections consist of six haiku and/or senryu. Many thanks to Editor Manuela Timofte for publishing this mini-collection. Here’s hoping you enjoy them.

“A Few Haiku (8)”
(c) 2021 by Michael L. Utley

(#43)

Sweat upon my brow
Dries to crystal salt; my toil
Earns ivory crown

…..

(#44)

Early morning mist
Mother cloud comes home to nest
Earth is safe and warm

…..

(#45)

Insects whispering
Secrets filled with mystery
As I plant the rice

You can read the rest of this mini-collection by clicking this link. Also, don’t forget to follow and subscribe to Gobblers by Masticadores, where you’ll find some wonderful writing and plenty of food for thought.

    1. Hi, Joni. I just now checked the links in this post and they all seem to work fine on my end (linking to the Gobblers site with the full selection of six haiku from this post). If you can’t access that page on Gobblers, you can find the page here on my blog:

Hope you’re doing fine, my friend. I’m sort of hunkering down at the moment so I’ve been silent for a few days (and I’ve fallen behind on reading and comments). All the best to you and Scott, and lots of love from CO. 😊

      1. Thank you Mike, I will go in soon and read these. I was able to search your name and read some amazingly brilliant pieces. Have a nice rest my friend and thank you. I just updated my IOS and I put it off for this very reason it takes me forever to be able to figure out what’s going on with my computer and my phone afterwards. It is cold and a big gray here today. Perfect weather for a nap. Sleep well, my dear friend sending our love.
