Greetings, folks. Gobblers by Masticadores has published the latest installment of my short haiku/senryu collections titled “A Few Haiku (21).” These small collections consist of six haiku and/or senryu.       1. Thanks, David. I love the symbolism of cairns–both how they point our way forward and mark where we’ve been in the past. They also show that we’re not alone on our journey–someone’s been on the same path before us and cared enough to help us on our way. Wishing you a peaceful Sunday. 😊

    1. Thanks, Nigel. Sort of a recurring theme for me, the symbolism of cairns. I’m glad this one struck a chord with you. (And I’ll have you know that Mr. Mike was my main nickname in jr. high and high school–even my science teacher/basketball coach called me Mr. Mike! 😎).

  3. So much emotion in so few words. I think #124 and #126 are my favorites, but each one touches me. Your accompanying image is beautiful and so appropriate. A beautiful package, Mike, even if it does make me want to give you a hug!

    1. Thank you kindly, Jane. Yep, #124 & #126 are somber, indeed. I seem to be most inspired by sorrow and I suppose I’m okay with that after all these years. Melancholy me, you know? As for hugs, all are freely accepted here! 🤗

      Also, Manuela (editor of Gobblers) does a grand job of choosing accompanying images. I never use accompanying images for my writing on my blog, but my editors at Masticadores and Spillwords like to include them, and it’s always interesting to see what they select.

      1. Yes, melancholy you, I do know! 🤗💕 Now that I know who chose the accompanying image, I remain impressed. As a sports fan, if the Blue Jays win their game today and the Europeans win the Ryder Cup, all will be very good in my world, thanks very much!! 😏😂
